Hello, I’m Lucy - a totally non-traditionalist, hopeless romantic, proud founder of Christchurch Weddings and now, South Society.
I’m a born and bred Cantabrian who has proudly stuck around in the south as it rebuilt and who adores seeing people find their happily ever after. Doing life with my two little loves, life runs at a million miles an hour!
I quickly identified other cities, towns and regions in the South Island that deserve quality curated wedding, event and special occasion content, specifically for people looking at hosting events in our piece of paradise. I’ve created South Society as an extension of the Christchurch Weddings brand to inspire and support you - whether you need some ideas for your DIY day, a list of the best suppliers in town, or a wedding planner to help you plan your wedstravaganza from start to finish. Wedding Planning is my passion, and I’m here to help you. I’ve created a bunch of packages suited to any budget, so you can sit back, relax and just focus on your ‘I do’.
Everything in South Society, from our Directory of talented vendors to my pro tips for a stress-free occasion, comes with my personal seal of approval. Ultimately, I want to help you create your best day ever that’s true to you in every single way.
