Hello Lovers, and welcome to South Society!

South Society has been brewing since the early days of my other love-child, Christchurch Weddings. I have put my heart and soul into developing this wedding & event planning platform, discovering the best creative talent, products and services the South Island has on offer - and I am so thrilled to be sharing it with you, making your planning missions as easy as they can possibly be!

Weddings especially, have forever been something special to me. There are no rules, no barriers to break - it's all about the couple who wed, and their vision of the perfect day. To me, it's about capturing that unique essence and creating a day that stops you in your tracks and makes your heart skip a beat.

My vision for South Society is that it will encourage you to get back to your roots - to get married or celebrate occasions wherever you consider ‘home’ to be be, because quite frankly, our region is bursting with talent no matter where you go. I hope that South Society will become the only place you need to visit when it comes to planning your South Island occasion. Between the blog and the directory, I hope that your mind is filled to the brim with inspiration, your planning "woes" be solved, and that your creative juices get following to create the kind of heart fluttering, jaw dropping day you've always dreamt of.

Over the next few weeks, I’m so excited to be introducing our growing raft of vendors on the South Society Directory. These wee gems are without a doubt the best talent we have available in the magical South. The passion these people put into their products and services is something truly admirable, and over time they will be joined by others in the absolute element of their professions.
